Refund policy

Paper Source maintains a structured return and refund system across its retail locations and online store, including purchases made through papersource.com. The policy is designed to support customer satisfaction while preserving the condition and integrity of its merchandise. In general, customers may return eligible products for a refund of the purchase amount, including applicable sales tax, provided the items are unused and returned within thirty days of the original purchase date. A valid proof of purchase is required, such as a store receipt or an online order packing slip. Items that have been used, altered, or damaged may not qualify for return or reimbursement.

Refunds are normally issued back to the original payment method used during the transaction. When a purchase is made using a credit card, debit card, or digital payment service, the same payment method must be presented in order for the refund to be processed. If the original form of payment is not available, or if PayPal was used, the refund is generally issued in the form of store credit delivered as an electronic gift card. This ensures that customers still receive the value of their return even if the original payment channel cannot be used.

In cases where a gift receipt is provided, returns are handled differently. Instead of returning funds to the original purchaser, store credit is issued to the recipient, usually in the form of an electronic gift card. This option is available for returns made within sixty days of purchase and allows gift recipients to select alternative items while maintaining flexibility in the return process.

Certain products are subject to additional restrictions. Items that are sealed or packaged in protective wrapping are not eligible for return once the packaging has been opened, unless they are found to be defective. Products purchased from external retailers or third-party sellers fall outside Paper Source’s return policy and must be handled through the original point of sale.

Promotional offers and bundled deals follow specific return guidelines. Items included in special promotions, such as “buy one get one” or similar discount structures, are generally eligible for exchange rather than refund. Full refunds are only possible if all items included in the promotional bundle are returned together within the allowed return timeframe. Complimentary or bonus items received as part of an offer may only be exchanged for goods of equal or lesser value based on the original purchase price.

Certain categories are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances. These include custom-made products, event or workshop fees, balloon orders, perishable goods, food items, and select specialty or oversized paper products purchased online. Shipping charges are also non-refundable. Additionally, returns will not be accepted after the thirty-day return period, or without valid proof of purchase. For online orders, customers may return items either in person at a retail store or by mail. When returning to a store location, customers must bring the item along with supporting documents such as the order confirmation, packing slip, or billing email, as well as the original payment method if applicable. Alternatively, items may be shipped back using instructions provided in the original order packaging.

If a packing slip is not available, customers are required to include a printed copy of the order confirmation email and clearly write the order number on the outside of the package. Proper documentation is essential for processing returns. Packages sent without the required information may not be eligible for refund. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping fees are not reimbursed. Paper Source is not liable for packages that are lost or not delivered to the returns facility, so customers may wish to use trackable shipping methods when sending items back.
